Vol. 9 No. 1

From The East

        From the East

I hope all are having a good start for the year. It looks like Mount Moriah Lodge No. 400 is but we need more turnout.

We as yet have not adopted a Precinct at the Elections Office because we do not have enough to fill a Board. This means we must find other ways to cover our operations. Our hunt for a new home has taken a sabbatical at this time however if you have any input come on in and inform the Lodge.

We now have Two Fellowcrafts awaiting their MM Degree in the near future. They are Brothers Luther Pender and John Cabibbo. Then we have EA Brother Christopher DeArchangelis awaiting the FC Degree.
Proficiencies will come soon and a time will be set for the Degrees. We need Brothers of the Lodge to help fill the chairs for these Degrees, so you can contact W. Les Williams SW (the Degree Master) as soon as possible and he will give you the practice schedule and assignment. We will need a horde for these Degrees (12 FC for one) so do not be bashful. If you do not want a part at least come in and be a supernumerary. If you cannot get to Lodge let us know (407-568=4652). We do want to hear from you and if you will let us visit we will do just that, if you are infirm

Most of you remember me from the old days as the UD 2000 and Charter Master 2001. Those who do not, come on out I would like to meet you. We Meet at 491 W. Broadway Oviedo, FL. Beside Oviedo High School Football Field. American Legion Post #243 Building. If you RSVP you may enjoy the dinners also.

From the West

Dear Brethern,

Greetings from the frozen North!!!

At our last meeting I passed the word that my Sister in Illinois was having brain surgery and I have been here just a week taking care of her and my ailing mother.

To make you all feel much better it is about 28 degrees and the snow is really coming down. The horizon is totally gone in the white. It makes one wish to be in front of a fire and enjoying a bit of hot chocolate! However, that is not to be.

I am reminded of the Lambskin Apron that we all wear. The white of the falling snow out the thoughts of what our apron represents.

I encourage each and every one of you to give your mind the chance to contemplate the meaning of Masonry in all its forms.

I am hoping to attend a meeting of the Warsaw Lodge of A.F.&A.M. I don't have any contact as yet and I will pass along the good wishes of all the craft of Mount Moriah Lodge #400.

Sorry to be so brief but I do have to get along with things and tend to the home fires. I do NOT have a steady Internet connection so I must use our local library. I will be on but very erratically.

Peace be with you my brothers and I will keep you in my heart.

Leslie Williams PM SW

Remember when

It has been a while since we have done this. Maybe it would be a good idea to resume adopt-a- precinct. It would be the best thing going at the present. It may be difficult. Make a count.

Secretary’s Corner
Brothers,

We still have nine whose dues are not yet paid. Check your dues card, does it say 2008, you need it to get by the tyler. W. Les Williams sister has had surgery so Les will be out of town for several days.

Congratulations are in order for Bro. Michael Rubenstein!!  He and Brandi have a new baby! Mike says he has fingers and toes, two eyes, two ears, and all the trimmings. He was looking for the nearest fire Dept. to get the babys car seat checked for safety.

Respectfully,

M.V.“Val” Mclaughlin,
Secretary,
Mount Moriah Lodge # 400
